Position Evaluation System
 

Maintaining internal pay equity and external pay competitiveness is instrumental to attracting talents and retaining them within the organization. HRBS Position Evaluation System (PES) helps to determine the job size (HRBS Rank) of a position through objective assessment of the specific job requirements.

Evaluation using the PES is based on a set of four criteria across a total of nine dimensions. This set of evaluation criteria is designed to be robust enough to accommodate the changing needs of modern management and the evolving nature of jobs.

  • Accurate Job Sizing – All essential aspects of the job are taken into consideration to objectively determine the job size (HRBS Rank) which in turn provides the basis for using relevant market data to ensure internal pay equity and external pay competitiveness.
  • Correlation to Other Grading Systems – Easy conversion between HRBS ranks and job-sizes derived from other grading systems provides compatibility with data obtained from external survey sources.
  • Inter-positions Relativity Review – Review of completed job evaluations can be easily performed to facilitate the assessment of inter-position relativity in a systematic manner. Evaluation results can also be exported to Excel format.
